Like @ghost says, some games insist on loading dxgi.dll from C:\Windows\System32. If thats the case, they get the regular Windows one which is incompatible with DXVK. There's nothing we can do about that. Do make sure you actually copied the DXVK dxgi.dll too.

  • For some reason now latest version works, but still pointless. All versions newer than 2.1 is a stuttery mess in this game
  • DXVK 2.1 is not crashing and seems to work better, it reduced checkpoint freezes and random stuttering. DXVK 2.1 with dx11 works better than 2.7 in DX9

  • Also, on a side note, you might want to check that `bInitializeShadersOnDemand=False` is set in the game's ini files for its D3D9 renderer. With that in place UE3 should be pretty stutter free. Some games don't ship that...
