  Everyone, to fix the issue: switch Steam to the beta channel, and check the files integrity. I just did it and, can confirm: it works !

  Ain't no way we found a new issue in the network stack of Black ops 2 😭 Ok so i will end this discussion here, on my end, since the issue isn't related to proton. I'll try getting in touch with Activision's support.

  UPDATE: after launching it with Steam in offline mode, the bug no longer happens. An issue in the network stack perhaps ?
