... Installing a newer PhysX and/or using
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 does not help.

- FYI, cuda support is disabled in wine, you need to use this to get PhysX and Nvida FleX working (on GPU-level): https://github.com/SveSop/nvidia-libs To be on the safe side, delete your game prefix first tho'.
