    My problem was fixed with the latest version of Proton. It now runs decently and is playable on my system. P.S. It might not be the latest, certainly a very recent one, I've been checking once every month or so.

    I had this problem, and in my case it was solved by installing the AMDVLK driver (from the git repo). Used to play pes 2018 and 2019 with this setup but now they do not even start.

    @dragonfly-lover I don't have the game to test it, but the issues seems very similar with what happens in the Bioshock games. Have you tried with: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% ?
