This should already be fixed on Proton Bleeding Edge
Edit: Oh you already tested with that and noted the same. Nvm then
Will be fixed by https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/pull/2536
Will be fixed by [#2536](https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/pull/2536)
tried it today with no luck. both games still affected for me. seems i'm to stupid for a) compile with PR, b) to put the files where they should be or c) both
trying with latest stable for arch tomorrow. was using latest git.
You can download a compiled build here https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/actions/runs/16077385023
The best way to use it would be to override the dll's that Proton ship. So if you are using Proton Exeperimental as an example you'd override the two files in Steam/steamapps/common/Proton - Experimental/files/lib/wine/vkd3d-proton/x86_64-windows/
Note if Experimental have an update it will again switch back to the files it ships
Thx 4 the tip. i tried it without luck. the PR doesnt fix anything on my end for those 2 games.
i tried placing the files in steam/steamapps/common/Proton - Experimental/files/lib/wine/vkd3d-proton/ and
i also tried tu put them into the prefix x86 in windows\system32 and x64 in windows\syswow64 and replaced exisiting.
both doesnt change anything for dune or remnant
What does the content of your steam/steamapps/common/Proton - Experimental/files/lib/wine/vkd3d-proton/ look like?

Can you attach a new proton log?
I tried Mesa 25.2.0-devel (git-d31cb824df) and Mesa 25.1.5-arch1.1 with the link you provided. I replaced both, x86 & x64 dll files.
needed to compress dune log, was over 70mb
The games are using some dlls placed next to their exe. Don't know if that is indented for you?
ah dang, totally forgot to delete them. was from a test yesterday which didnt worked.
i removed them now and only have replaced the x86 & x64 dlls in steam/steamapps/common/Proton - Experimental/files/lib/wine/vkd3d-proton/.
just launched dune and remnant 2 for a few minutes. the issue seems to be gone.
i play a few hours this evening and see how it goes.
tyvm
will close this after it hits proton exp.
played dune for several hours this evening. the issue seems to be fixed.
only the performance could be a bit better, it's ~10-20% lower compared to windows 11 but thats another story.
tomorrow i will test remnant 2 for some hours, if it's the same, then i think we can close this as soon this is pushed to proton exp and working as expected.
edit
remant 2 also seems to be fixed.

In both Dune Awakening and Remnant 2, there are severe graphical glitches in the top-left corner of the screen. The issue becomes increasingly worse as the resolution scale is lowered.
A video showing the problem in Dune Awakening can be found here:

This appears to be the same rendering issue reported in Oblivion Remastered (see: mesa#13063), which was resolved by this PR:
However, this fix does not resolve the issue in Remnant 2 or Dune Awakening — both are still affected even with the current vkd3d-proton builds.
