Known NV driver bug I think. They're aware of it afaik.
Ah, ok, thanks! ProtonDB claims other people with Nvidia cards successfully launching with that command, but it must be a case by case bug and I am one of the unlucky ones. Time to go look over Nvidia's shoulder and ask them "Whacha doing?"
595 drivers are bugged. I recall some saying 590 works, but it's not our bug anyway.

Hopefully this is the right place for this bug. The error messages in the Steam logs mention VKD3D but I am new to this so I am sorry if I am barking up the wrong tree. Feel free to point me in the right direction if so, thanks!
I am running CachyOS. I wish to use Ray tracing in the game Pragmata, which is done by adding the "WineDetectionEnabled:False" to the launch command in Steam. Without this command, the game launches fine. With this command, the game gets through the various company logos and then freezes when you see the loading bar in the bottom right corner along with a spinning box. This is not the same issue from earlier where the game would crash when people would turn ray tracing on. I can't even get to the menu to try and turn ray tracing on.
I went through every combination of commands from ProtonDB that people said worked for them with ray tracing but they all displayed the same freezing behaviour for me. I have tried Proton-CachyOS, Proton-Experimental and Proton-Experimental (Bleeding-Edge). This last one says it's using the latest VKD3D (3.0.1), I think. I have verified my game files, deleted the cached shaders, loaded the game up and reset all settings and tried disabling the Steam overlay. Hopefully I haven't missed anything obvious, thanks!
