When playing as/near the Michael character in GTA V Enhanced, part of the
character's geometry occasionally stretches out into a triangle extending
toward infinity, and parts of his model briefly disappear/reappear.
This does not occur with other characters.
System info
GPU: Intel Iris Xe (Tiger Lake, ThinkPad T14 Gen2, i5-1135G7)
Mesa version: 25.3.6
OS: Fedora 43, Wayland (Hyprland)
Kernel: 7.0.9-105.fc43.x86_64
Proton: Proton Experimental (also tested GE-Proton, same result)
Steps to reproduce
Launch GTA V Enhanced (AppID 3240220)
Play as/switch to Michael
Bug occurs: first it only started in cutscenes, so I ignored it because I could accept it as long as I could play the game, but in the boat mission to save Jimmy, Michael started showing this glitch as soon as he left the cutscene
Troubleshooting already done
Confirmed not a game settings issue (AA, shadows, reflections, TXAA/FXAA
all disabled/minimum)
Confirmed not a Hyprland/compositor issue (disabled direct scanout,
render:direct_scanout = false, tested WLR_DRM_NO_ATOMIC=1)
Confirmed not the hardware GPU driver: bug reproduces identically when
forcing Vulkan software rendering via Lavapipe
(VK_ICD_FILENAMES=lvp_icd.x86_64.json)
Verified game file integrity via Steam (no corruption found)
