Symptoms

The game works correctly in offline game modes.

The issue occurs consistently when searching for Ranked or Casual online matches.

Most of the time, the game crashes while connecting to the match before the fight begins. Occasionally, it reaches the "Another Fight" loading screen before closing.

The game exits instantly without displaying any error message or crash dialog.

The Proton log ends with:

Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000000000000008.

Reproduction

  1. Launch Street Fighter V.
  2. Select Ranked Match or Casual Match.
  3. Start matchmaking.
  4. Wait for an opponent to be found.
  5. The game crashes while connecting to the match. Occasionally, it reaches the "Another Fight" loading screen before closing.
