Description
When creating a new prefix, instead of copying all the files, there should be links pointing to the original, read only prefix. This way, tons of free space would be freed, lots of file deduplications would be avoided.
For example, on steam deck, Proton 11 is downloaded to it's specific location.
Then a new game is started, a new prefix is being created.
Instead of copying the files, it would create links to the original proton files, keeping the prefix structure.
Other games will do the same, creating their own prefix just like now, but with links in them to the common files.
If it would be hard- or symlinks, I let the professionals decide.
