[x] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

The game suffers from major regressions across different Proton branches:

Proton versions 8 and below either fail to launch entirely or completely break multiplayer matchmaking and lobbies.

Proton versions 9.0 and newer trigger severe, unplayable stuttering and performance tanking starting immediately from the main menus and carrying into gameplay.

GE-Proton 9-5 is currently the only known version that successfully maintains functional multiplayer while running smoothly without menu or gameplay stutter.

Small mouse inputs do not get picked up. Almost like a deadzone is stuck on. If you move faster it works. Mouse accuracy is also very bumpy.

Reproduction

Launch the game using official Proton 9+ or GE-Proton 9-6+.

Notice severe, persistent stuttering immediately upon reaching the main menu and throughout the interface.

Switch compatibility tool to GE-Proton 9-5.

Menus and gameplay run smoothly with fully functional multiplayer.
