Symptoms

Game crashes, taking DE / Compositor after 10-30min of play time. Streaming through discord seems to speed up the process. Crash is caused by a amdgpu ring gfx_0.0.0 time out. I've tested with and without overdrive active.

I've been doing a bit of testing and the issue seems to come from the FSR4 upgrade. It does not matter if its done through ge proton or optiscaler, the game crashes after a certain period of time has passed.

The game still appears to crash without the fsr4 upgrade, it just takes a lot longer now. I crashed only after several hours of gaming.

Reproduction

  1. Boot up the game
  2. Play for 10-30 min
  3. Game should crash after a while

Hello @neon-grim, try setting the game's launch options to RADV_DEBUG=single_queue %command as a workaround (from https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/work_items/16158).

Is this specifically for FSR4 or just the game? I'll give it a try and see what the results are.

Edit: Still leads to crashes after a certain while. Though it takes much longer than before.

Edit2: Seems that running RADV_DEBUG=nocompute VKD3D_CONFIG=single_queue solved the crashing for now.
