  • View initial fullscreen gray window
  • Alt tab to view the "Splash" window that says it's compiling shaders

@hjpaul7 Could you try with newer drivers? On my 4060 mobile with 615.71.09 the game loaded fine (after a couple of minutes of compiling shaders, mind you)

Is anyone else having issues with controllers (DualSense) not working without forcing SteamInput?

@simifor That did indeed fix it. Always hesitant to update Nvidia drivers :)

Appreciate it.

Can confirm driver 610.57.04 works too here with an RTX 3060 Ti. Using Proton 11.0-2 with the game myself.

Semi-related; if people on 8GB GPUs are struggling to run this game properly, try using custom graphics settings and forcing everything BUT Global Illumination, Texture Quality and Shadows to Epic. For the other settings:

  • Global Illumination on Medium
  • Shadows on High
  • Texture Quality at Medium.

Working great here with the game hovering around 7GB of VRAM usage in the worst case.
The game also leaks video memory if you change graphics settings a lot so best to restart the game after doing this.
