Behavior:
"RTX Mega Geometry" is greyed out in settings despite the underlying driver exporting VK_NV_cluster_acceleration_structure.
Technical Detail:
The title queries cluster raytracing capabilities via NVAPI D3D12 extensions (NvAPI_D3D12_GetRaytracingCaps). Proton's current dxvk-nvapi / vkd3d-proton stack does not expose the cluster operation enum or bridge the D3D12 cluster structures to Vulkan, leaving the feature locked out.
Gears of War: E-Day has a partial DualSense compatibility issue under Proton.
Environment
Proton versions tested
The issue reproduces on all of the following official Valve Proton versions:
I also reproduced the same behavior with:
DualSense features that work
The game clearly detects the controller through its native DualSense path:
DualSense features that do not work
There is no vibration of any kind:
The rest of the native DualSense functionality continues to work normally.
I also tested GE-Proton with:
PROTON_SONY_HIDRAW_XINPUT=1This did not restore ordinary XInput-style rumble either.
Expected behavior
DualSense vibration/haptic feedback should work in addition to the already-working gyro, adaptive triggers and PlayStation glyphs.
Actual behavior
Gyro, adaptive triggers and PlayStation glyphs work, but the controller never produces vibration or haptic feedback.
Additional notes
This does not appear to be specific to GE-Proton or a CachyOS Proton fork because the same behavior is reproducible with official Proton 11, Proton Experimental and Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge.
The partial feature support may be useful diagnostically: native DualSense input, motion and adaptive-trigger communication are functioning, while the vibration/haptic output path is not.
