Symptoms

Running the GOG offline installer under the latest version of Proton results in an access violation error and does not compelte.
Using GE-Proton10-32 allows to install the software normally

Reproduction

  1. Place the GOG offline installer setup_the_witcher_2_-_assassins_of_kings_enhanced_edition_3.5.0.26g_(64109).exe on a path physically on another drive (even if it is mounted under / or /home/$USER)

  2. Run the installer using GE-Proton11-11

  3. Before starting, the installer will throw an Access violation error (in my case at the address 7BF9F2D6 and write address 7BF90000).

  4. Press OK terminates the setup.

[!NOTE]
Repeating the same steps using GE-Proton10-32 allows to install the software normally.

Hello @FATelarico, we're using one issue report per unofficially supported game title, so I've gone ahead and transferred this issue report to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2309#issuecomment-6398293088.
