Symptoms
Voice chat microphone never works. The game runs, connects, and remote players' voices are audible, but no audio from the local mic is ever sent. The in-game device list shows all capture devices, but selecting any of them (Open Mic, not muted) never opens a capture stream: pactl list source-outputs / pw-dump show only a playback stream from AmongUs3D.exe, never a recording stream.
Cause: the game uses Photon Voice's native Windows input (AmongUs3D_Data/Plugins/x86_64/AudioIn.dll, based on Microsoft's AEC sample). It calls CoCreateInstance(CLSID_CWMAudioAEC {745057C7-F353-4F2D-A7EE-58434477730E}, IID_IMediaObject) (the Voice Capture DSP, mfwmaaec.dll on Windows), then sets MFPKEY_WMAAECMA_* properties, SetOutputType (16 kHz mono PCM), AllocateStreamingResources, and polls ProcessOutput. That CLSID isn't registered in the prefix, and none of the Proton Experimental or GE-Proton11-11 Wine files contain it, so mic capture silently fails.
Request: implementing the Voice Capture DSP in source mode (even a basic version without real echo cancellation that just captures from the device in MFPKEY_WMAAECMA_DEVICE_INDEXES and outputs the requested PCM format) would fix voice chat in this game and probably other Photon Voice games.
Reproduction
Launch Among Us 3D with Proton.
Join any lobby with voice chat enabled.
In Settings, pick your microphone, set Voice Chat Mode to Open Mic, and make sure Self Mute is off.
Speak: other players can't hear you. Run pactl list source-outputs: there is no stream from AmongUs3D.exe.
