Tried with Proton 3.7-3: the game needed the option PROTON_NO_D3D11 to run correctly.
If run without that option all the game characters were invisible.

Bought that game, should not be added to the whitelist. Now in proton 4.11-1 the characters are not invisible, but either with WineD3D11 or Proton the framerate is terrible even at the lowest settings (like 1 frame very 10 seconds) and the controls are unresponsive, making the game utterly unplayable.

My configuration is here, https://gist.github.com/Patola/2fa5199d07637c870888f39448c6aa7b and I have the latest NVIDIA drivers and have been a long proton user, with almost a hundred windows games working perfectly.

Hello @Patola, please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options, run the game, and drag and drop the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log into the comment box.

Thanks, @kisak-valve -- for the record, using launch options TZ= %command% solved the issue, and I didn't even need to use WINED3D. It seems it was that America/Sao Paulo timezone bug.

Here you go, steam-438420.log after I was able to run the game in full speed, 90 fps:
