I have played about half way through this game over a few days without noticing any issues what so ever. I'm exactly sure what is required for whitelisting but I think this would be a good candidate to get other people to bang on for whitelisting

Hello @jomarocas, your log suggests you're trying to run the game tracked at #820, not this game.

Devil May Cry® 4 Special Edition

The game only runs after forcing WINE's OpenGL-based D3D10 support with the launch option "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%". The game closes when you maximize the screen.

Note the regular release of DMC4 works fine as it's DX9, but DMC4:SE is DX10.

DMC4 (non-SE) works perfectly with no changes needed.

Symptoms

Crash after opening game sequence is played in DX10 mode. The rendered background scenery at the main menu is also not rendered, and is simply a black background.

DX9 mode works great though.
