Steps to reproduce installation bug:

  1. Install game trough Steam.
  2. Press play.
  3. Steps 1 and 2 of the installation process will proceed as normal.
  4. Installation hangs on step 3 of installation process: it opens a new window, with a black screen, titled: Wine Command Prompt.
  5. Close the Wine Command Prompt screen.
  6. Game loads anyway into main menu.

Xbox 360 controller support:

Summary of findings:

The installation bug doesn't affect playing the game, just closing the Wine Command Prompt is enough to "fix it".

Game works fine, though there is a problem with online connectivity:

  • The link to which the game points in its news section is no longer valid.
  • The Global and Friend leaderboards give a network timeout.
  • Probably the servers are shut down, on account of it being a old game.

This game is working perfectly for me. I was also able to verify the touchpad mode is working.

The Steam installer still opens a Wine Command Prompt at step 3 of the installation process with Proton 3.16-6 Beta. The game will still install and play correctly though.
