I tried running Krater through Proton but it freezes at the initial load screen. The Steam AppID of the game is 42170. I added PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options and received the following log:

I have checked whether there are updates for my system available and I am up to date

Hello @Simmonz, err:winediag:FILE_CreateFile Too many open files, ulimit -n probably needs to be increased is a line of interest in your log, please read https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/blob/proton_3.7/PREREQS.md#fd-limit-requirements.
