Distro: Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa (64 bit)
GPU: Vega 56
Driver/LLVM version: Mesa 19.1.0-devel/9.0.0
Kernel version: 5.0.7-050007-generic
Proton version: 4.2-3
Problem:
There are graphical glitches, looks like vertical black shadows on the bottom half of the screen (those follow you everywhere, and even if AA is disabled)

Game works other than that but with low performance relative to the hardware it is running on.

Re-tested the game. Performance is great now with experimental D9VK and ACO :tada: . The graphical bug remains with the vertical shadows.
But I made a new discovery, the vertical lines appear only with post processing set to high. With post processing set to medium the game is now practically flawless with D9VK and ACO.
Left: Post Process High Right: Post Process Medium

Log included is of testing with high post process setting and medium.

Play button in the Steam client is sufficient.More generically, is anyone seeing an issue with this game and Proton 5.0 that would block it from being whitelisted?

@kisak-valve I'm still seeing the graphical glitches when post processing is set to high (same issue as I did see with a Vega 56, now tried with a RX 5700), as pictured below:

@springwurm Do you see these black vertical stripes if you set post processing to high, right at the beginning of the game?

EDIT: Updated post with new screenshot/log (accidentally uploaded one where I had tried older DXVK version)
I have the same graphic glitch with my GTX 970 and RTX 2060 SUPER...
Maybe is a game issue.

Yes i do. Same with wined3d.

The game is working flawless for me now, even with all the graphics options set to highest I'm no longer seeing any graphics glitches.

GFX settings MAX
Alien Rage works perfect on max GFX settings except for one single issue: Setting Antialiasing to 16x distorts textures somehow. All other AA settings work just fine.
I would say it is almost a candidate for [Whitelist].
