Hello @kisak-valve, when I was getting the same thing for the game, Neither that nor PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 worked for me, same symptoms.

It seems a recent update broke it completely for me (so it doesn't even launch to the title screen) however, so I'll have to diagnose that.

@z0z0z Tried it with Proton 4.2-3 and worked out of the box without any launch options

• Tried game at maxed settings with 4K pack
• Windowed mode and Fullscreen works
• Alt+Tab, Minimizing and maximizing works
• Cut-scene videos play without problems
• Nintendo Switch Pro Controller worked

Including a log below of when I played about 30 minutes of the beginning of the game.

Problem: Game does not remember settings, they are reset to defaults everytime the game is launched

Performance was a solid 60fps but with some stutter moving into new areas. I did get some minor sound stutter too (appears to use Xaudio did spot xaudio2_7.dll in the log).

Compatibility Report

Everything works as well as on Windows, but be aware that this game has some quirks that can be mistaken for Proton issues (like I did with my previous report).

These problems also affect Windows:

• Settings are not saved (like screen resolution etc..) unless you have saved your progress at least once in-game.
