Symptoms
The game works to a degree but certain clickable aspects frequently stop working. These aspects are dialogue options and the inventory (which can still be opened by pressing the i button). Pressing escape repeatedly to open and close the menu sometimes fixes the issue. This is an intermittent issue, with everything else apparently working.

Start the game. It will be locked if this bug hits during the first conversation at roll call.
