Sometimes the sound this cut is enough to save and that this raise but I think there is a problem with the management of sound is an old game and also it lacks Windows Media Player to play the video at the beginning of the game!

Game crashes to desktop when using D9VK (PROTON_USE_D9VK), but runs ok using WINED3D. There is a error message about the intro videos not being able to play.

That's unlikely. According to logs it's using older API.
I just looked up the error, it's a DirectShow error.

With Proton 5.13 it seems to run better at first glance, I only launched it for a moment and ran around for a few seconds though, haven't tried actually playing for a while.
I gives an error on launch about not having enough memory still, but it runs anyway. Cutscenes look like this:
