I also tried running it using Proton 3.16-4, but it didn't work for me either.
Tried installing xact using winetricks, didn't change anything.

Sound now works for me too. Don't know why it didn't work before. Moved the game to an ext4 fs, was on ntfs before, maybe that's the reason.
