Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

The game came up but went into the repair screen. I press the repair, and sometimes it will do the update, and other times it won't. However, either way, the game stays on that screen. This only happened after the last update.

All of my other Steam Apps still work. Only Creative Destruction stopped working.

Hello @lumni1968, issues with games run with Proton are being tracked in the Proton issue tracker, so I've transferred the issue report.

Please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options and drag and drop the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log into the comment box.

Your game path directory is:

"Z:\home\lumni\.local\share\Steam\SteamApps\common\CreativeDestruction"

but the game searches for "\lumni.local" instead "\lumni\.local"

try this:
sudo ln -s /home/$USER/.local /home/$USER.local
