So when I launch the game and get asked what resolution I want to play in and weather or not I want to play in fullscreen, if I press fullscreen it crashes after showing and hiding a black screen a couple of times. (The game works perfectly in Windowed mode)

Launch the game in fullscreen and it should happen

I can confirm that windowed the game works fine. But if I select fullscreen the game starts minimized (I can see the icon on the taskbar, music is playing, and the mouse pointer is trapped), alt+tabbing up the games screen everything is fine. So on my system fullscreen does not crash, but it does not launch as expected.

Retest Compatibility Report

With Proton 5.0-4 game works fine in Windowed mode. But it crashes if launched in fullscreen mode.

With older Proton-4.11-13 game launched in fullscreen mode (but minimized so the game has to be brought up)
