It's getting ingame for me. Performance is... Bad. Really bad. But it's playable.
does this work for anybody? bought it yesterday (gmg) and after the first intro screens after the intel logo it gets stuck with a black screen.
looks like output_log.txt loops forever with those nullpointers:

According to the database, it might work with an older proton version: https://www.protondb.com/app/342180
Also if you are on nvidia and experiencing crashes on never proton versions, the development drivers can help. Since dxvk seems to implement features that are not available in the consumer drivers. https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver
thanks for your reply!
true, I've seen on protondb that it looks like it once worked. I was just curious if it currently doesn't work in general with an up2date setup. I know the developer vulkan drivers, but the game alone is not worth the switch, as everything else works as expected.
I might try an older proton version. If so and if it works I'll report back.
There's a good chance this game bumped OpenVR API version when they did their Valve Index update and we need to re-evaluate how the game runs with the next Proton release (#2882).
this looks good! thanks a lot, kisak!
I can confirm that proton 4.11 fixes this issue.

Compatibility Report
System Information
I confirm:
steam-342180.zip
Due to the size of the log file (288 MB), I've compressed it into a .7z archive, and again into a .zip archive due to Github only allowing .zip archives to be uploaded.
Symptoms
The game appears to launch, but eventually, the prompt to either force-kill the game or wait will appear. Nothing happens if either are selected. The game appears to be running in Steam, but there is no video or audio output from the game in the headset.
Reproduction
The symptoms happen every time I try to launch the game.
