Problem with the glitchy window behavior still occurs, including log of replicating the problem with latest Proton and Mesa.
Problem with the window behaviour still occurs with Proton 4.11-1. Replicated the steps previously mention, also same with D9VK.
Logs replicating the issue:

I'm no longer seeing the issue with the minimized window behavior. I'm closing this issue as it appears that the problem has been fixed, or that it was a Cinnamon desktop specific problem (I'm on KDE now).
Log of launching the game without issue for future reference:

Symptoms & Reproduction
Game works perfectly except that it does not function as expected when switching between windowed and fullscreen.

Same problem occured also with WINED3D launch option (the logs included are of me doing the steps mentioned above, and then alt+F4 to exit the game)
I have seen a similar problem with a handfull of games before. Not sure if this is a Proton issue or a desktop environment issue, this was on Linux Mint Cinnamon but I have seen this problem in Elementary Pantheon too.
