Symptoms

While performance seems to be a lot smoother and frame rates are higher in the newer version of Proton. There is a huge issue of screen tearing now, which was not present in Proton 3.7-8.

Reproduction

Change the game to use the newer version of Proton in Steam, play the game.

This was possibly fixed with Proton 4.2-7? Screen tearing seems to be gone, but I've also changed Kernels from 5.1.4-1-MANJARO to 5.1.8-1-MANJARO so that may have had an effect. No way for me to test Proton 4.2-6 again to see if it was the Kernel or not.
