Looks like this game would benefit from support for Media Foundation maturing.

sn-rpg-5.0-9.log

Symptoms

Game doesn't start at all. Clicking play presents nothing on screen apart from play changing to "Stop". After a few seconds, goes back to play. Although not supported here, same behaviour on 5.11-GE-1-MF. ProtonDB does imply it should play with little to no tweaking. Logs don't appear to suggest much, as any errors are ignored.

Reproduction

Install game. Try to start.

Note on my above report. Forcing the game to use 4.11-13 gets the game to launch, and then using <Workaround removed by moderator> gets the game to run. The game does not run at all in 5.0-9.

Hello @LarnuUK, the workaround you mentioned is legally problematic and has been removed.

Hello @LarnuUK, the workaround you mentioned is legally problematic and has been removed.

Apologies, didn't realise. I was more surprised that the game is more responsive on Proton 4, as (without said work around) the game starts just to a black screen. The game doesn't start at all on Proton 5.

I had the same issue, but I got it to work by using 5.11-GE-2-MF and deleting the wine prefix so that it was regenerated
