Game is probably crashing with Proton 5 due to D9VK being activated by default.

@FurtadoPires Yes. If it works in wined3d but fails with DXVK, it can also be useful to report them to DXVK directly.

Tested again with Proton 5.13.1

The game now lauches, but crash after the cut scene.
