Symptoms

The game has a mechanic where you have to cry to release sentiments. This triggers a cutscene (pre-rendered, i imagine it is a video file) that instead shows a black screen with only sound.

Reproduction

Play the game, clear a stage, go to the menu, go to "Organize", "Release Sentiments" and see the error.

So, there is no current workaround? On other note, the game runs flawlessly otherwise, i could not be more thankful of such an awesome tool for us Linux enthusiasts!

Thanks. Looking at the log, Proton Experimental is trying harder, and but has missing codecs:

Missing decoder: MPEG-4 AAC (audio/mpeg, mpegversion=(int)4, framed=(boolean)true, stream-format=(string)raw, level=(string)2, base-profile=(string)lc, profile=(string)lc, codec_data=(buffer)1190, rate=(int)48000, channels=(int)2)
Missing decoder: H.264 (Main Profile) (video/x-h264, stream-format=(string)avc, alignment=(string)au, level=(string)4.1, profile=(string)main,

As a side note, Proton logs compress well and you throw them in an archive when Github isn't happy with the file size.

I fixed it by deleting the files from the game & disable cloud save
file I deleted (/home/user/.steam/steam/userdata/steamuser/981750/remote/)

it started working (Proton-6.1-GE-2)
