Hello @Gibbz, please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options, reproduce your issue, and drag and drop the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log into the comment box. Also, please copy your system information from Steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) and put it in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report.

Also note, the text in the multiplayer menu is garbled under proton, under wine it is not. So that and multiplayer are broken.

The folks on protondb.com all suggest to execute protontricks 40970 directplay to enable multiplayer.
