Symptoms

The 3D animations don't look as they should and the configuration tool does not display any text.

Animations

Start a new game, skip the prologue. The player character is simply floating above the ground instead of walking/running as she should. The cabinet at the bottom right of the room doesn't open correctly.

Missing text in configuration tool

Just run the configuration tool from the Steam prompt.
