Symptoms

Game does not launch after hitting PLAY (it installs Directx and Visual C++ 2010 automatically).

Since it's predecessor (War for Cybertron) uses NVIDIA Physx, I tried to install that through protontricks, but that doesn't seem to do much.

Reproduction

Install the game, set the Proton version to 4.11-8 and hit PLAY.

@kisak-valve Thank you for referencing my issue! I'm glad it's not something unique.

The game isn't working even on latest Proton-Experimental.

With the new steam client and proton experimental as discussed in https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/753#issuecomment-954401990 the game now launches and played correctly for the first few scenes in a quick test.
