I noticed that this game has various color depth and brightness issues depending on the version of Proton used.
The most obviously broken graphics occur with Proton 6.3-8 which, as with several other games such as Max Payne (#623), results in some serious color banding.
With Proton 5.13-6, the game appears to have the proper color depth but is rather dark and muted.
I didn't try all of the older versions, but if I remember correctly, Proton 5.0-10 and 4.11-13 are the same way.
With Proton 7.0-6, the game is still pretty dark, but not quite as much.
(Note that the selected "new game" button in the center glows in a pulsating kind of way, so don't much pay attention to the brightness of that part.)
With Proton 8.0-5 and 9.0-1, the game appears much brighter.
(The screenshot above is with Proton 8.0-5. There's no significant difference with Proton 9.0-1, as far as I can tell.)
I don't know which brightness is "correct". I looked at some videos of the game on YouTube, none of which were stated to be running on Linux, and some looked dark and muted while others looked brighter. So I did a quick search of the Steam forums and saw several discussions about the game having brightness/color issues. Some of these threads are related to the Wine-wrapped "Linux version" but others are, with no mention of Linux, presumably not. Maybe the way the game handles gamma/brightness is just weird.
By the way, running the "Linux version" (which currently uses Wine 6.9 Staging) results in about the same brightness as older Proton versions:
But personally I wouldn't take that as an indication that this is the correct level of brightness.
A reply to one Steam forum thread mentions that the game's brightness issues occur only in fullscreen mode. Sure enough, running the game in windowed mode with Proton 5.13-6 results in a level of brightness which is closer to what I get with Proton 8.0-5 and Proton 9.0-1 in fullscreen mode.

Works great once you right click on Enclave and go to properties, and force to use the latest version of Proton instead of the old Wine bundled with it thats used for the "linux port".
Works best when using the d3d8to9 wrapper (https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9) and "PROTON_USE_D9VK=1" in launch options. Also add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d8=n".
