i manually installed phsyx using protontricks and i copied "PhsyXloader.dll" from borderlands2 into the game's folder
now configuration window opens but game still fails to launch

I think the log is telling us Ogre hit an access violation wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x45455246 at address 0xa504ca (thread 0038), starting debugger... on an null pointer and fell over.
