Symptoms

Game crashes upon launch, whether you run it in normal or windows 10 mode. From what other testers have said, its because of Windows Media Framework being required.

Looks like this game would benefit from support for Media Foundation maturing.

Noticed some people were able to get this to work (though without music) on protondb, wanted to check it myself with a regular build to see if there was an improvement - there is but its marginal. You get the launcher and it asks you for the resolution, click play and you will get a black screen that hangs regardless of what you choose.

It now works on Proton 9.0 beta/Proton Experimental (hangs after the intro video on earlier Proton versions), but music only plays if you delete the "main" set of audio tracks in xwma format (/Win7-8/Assets/Sounds/Tracks_xwma/), the game then switches to adpcm tracks from another folder.
Xwma format playback problem is known, there are other games affected (earlier builds of Super Amazing Wagon Adventure, for example).
