With proton 8.0-3 the sound works, but the music doesn't loop. With proton experimental the music loops correctly.

What do you mean by this? I completed the game after my earlier comment and it still seems fine on my end.

If sound is suposed to end (for example when fastforwarding intro cutscene) it won't actually stop and will overlap with whatever will play afterwards until it will play to the end/loop point.
