I did some tests for this game few months ago. At least back then symptom was that soundtrack was working, but screen hang on start. There were two options to run it:
This game requires Dgvoodoo2 on Windows 10 to run properly as well, if that would be any hint.
EDIT: It is possible that this requires some winetrick to run cinematics, but game just skips them on beginning I believe. Lack of WMV support isn't what causes main problem.
Tried on steam deck.
Best runned on ProtonGE 6 version. Shows even cinematic with sound at game start but they green. Does'n see steam deck gamepad at both Proton and GE. Works with keyboard. Tried 8.0-3 RC - garbage without sound instead cinematic.
