System Information

IMPORTANT I purged every gnome package from my system before installing i3wm, I have a strong suspicion this is related to some dependency that the log isn't showing.

I confirm:

  • [x] that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • [x] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Found something new, grepping for "err":

Symptoms

Splash screen comes up, ram usage goes up somewhat, splash screen gets stuck and RAM usage starts going down, ps shows tekken 7 as defunct, and CPU usage goes down slowly from over 60%. The process then has to be killed.

Reproduction

Trying to launch the game on any proton version, including the default.

it's 38mb with max compression, too big for github.

I changed my kernel to Liquorix 5.5 and now the game works in both proton 5.0 and 3.16. Maybe a kernel reinstall would have done it.

I Think I had updated the kernel once and it did not solve it though, would be interesting to hear from others using 1804.
