Hello @taisph, looks like this game would benefit from support for Media Foundation maturing.
The following makes the game work on Ubuntu 20.04.
Run the commands below. Note that path in WINEPREFIX may vary.
<Workaround removed by moderator>
Run the game normally.
Can confirm that it requires Media Foundation.
@taisph, that workaround is legally problematic and has been removed.
the latest custom proton build from @GloriousEggroll gets me to the main menu. however, the controller support in that build is 100% non existent and i find the game very uncomfortable to play with mouse and keyboard.
My game crashes if the mp4 cutscenes (not the in-game cutscenes) play for too long.
Destroy All Humans does not launch under Proton 6.3-6

@metatron-the-chronicler posted on 2021-09-20T05:25:40:
Expected: Destroy All Humans should launch.
Actual: Destroy All Humans runs without displaying anything, then the steam running indicator returns to Play.
system-info.txt
Destroy All Humans! launches and works under 7.0-1, but the subtitles in the cut scenes are not wrapping like they should, such that the start and end of text renders offscreen.
