Hello @timonoj, please copy the compatibility report template to this issue report and fill it out.
The game is working fine You should <Removed by moderator> or use Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF.
Thanks for the prompt replies! I can't get Steam to install that proton version. The latest it allows me is Proton-5.0.7. And I don't know how to add an external DLL, but it didn't complain of missing one, either.
Blank screen after Unity logo. Audio of the menu intro can be heard for a few seconds, then nothing. I just Alt-F4 out of the game.
Thanks, looks like this game will benefit from support for Media Foundation maturing.
Thanks for your reply. However I'm not sure what do you mean. Is there an updated version of Media Foundation fixing this already? Or there are no known fixes at the moment?
Thanks!
There's ongoing work in upstream wine to improve the situation, but that subsystem was not in a usable state when wine 5.0 was released. As @mozo78 mentioned, there's a third party option to try if you feel like it while we wait to see how things look in the next major Proton release.
Thanks for all the details. As you correctly mentioned, manually downloading Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF and copying it to ~/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d allows you to choose it as a custom Proton version. This indeed lets the game load correctly. However it leaks memory like crazy. After less than 5mins I was already over 12GB of RAM used!
Sadly at this stage it's still unusable...

Hi!
I was hoping Proton would be able to play this game, and it seems to do a good attempt, but then it fails with a blank screen.
It does show the configuration launcher, and then at launch you can see properly the Unity logo in full screen. Then you can hear the introductory sound for the game menu screen...but it's just a blank screen. Nothing seems to work from here.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this?
I'm using KDE Neon v18.04 and Nvidia v440.100.
Any details I might be missing?
