The game only has a fullscreen mode and when launching the game from a system resolution higher than 800x600 the visuals are presented in a 800x600 box aligned to the top left corner of the screen. However the UI does not align to the visuals and instead aligns to an invisible 4:3 center aligned box. The mouse will change/highlight over empty space that maps to the main menu buttons if you search them out.
A workaround for this is to set the system resolution to 800x600 while playing the game and then reverting after exit. Not everyone will realize this though.
Aside from this issue no other problems detected. An entire playthough using the workaround went fine without other issue.
