Hello @adrianlshaw, what filesystem are you using with /mnt/63f928af-491f-49d3-8a4d-cfec25839a1a? I suspect you're using NTFS and that's known to be problematic.

Ext4. Other Proton games work on that drive.

FYI I've moved the game from my secondary ext4 drive to my primary ext4 drive and the game works flawlessly.

With regard to your initial report, a very short log like the one you posted usually indicates a crash in the Proton script itself. If you run Steam from a Terminal and observe its output when you start a game, you'll probably see some Python errors scroll by. Those might give a hint as to what's gone wrong with your other filesystem.

Thanks for the advice. Sadly I was unable to reproduce the problem. I installed it again on the second drive and it works just fine!

I've been having an issue with mouse input which I think is caused by the game itself but all the solutions I can find seem to be windows specific. If I have the graphics settings set to the highest then the mouse input will be incredibly choppy, but when lowerinbg them a tiny bit the choppyness will be reduced. But even when that isn't an issue the mouse input is still very nauseating, as if extreme mouse smoothing is being applied. The sensitivity will change a lot (especially when the framerate changes, regardless of vsync), and the changes on screen are usually several frames behind.

The solutions I have looked for online usually involve some Nvidia control panel stuff or solutions for The Outer Worlds (thanks google), neither of which help all that much. They suggest forcing the game to cap at 60, which seems odd to me, because then vsync should solve the issue. I think the solution would be to enable raw mouse input, as whenever I encounter this issue in a game that's the solution, but it doesn't seem to be an option anywhere.

I needed to start the game once with Proton 5.13-6 to let it install the needed stuff like vc-redist. After that it loads in the new Proton 7.0-2.
