Hello @clansdown, looks like this game would benefit from support for Media Foundation maturing.
Pardon me, I don't quite understand you. Do you mean that the full version of the game makes use of Microsoft Media Foundation in a way that the demo doesn't, and so support for it will be when the MMF support matures? (Or do you mean that support for MMF is maturing and this game may benefit from that?)

There's ongoing work in upstream wine to improve support, but as of right now, there's a bunch of work that still needs to happen in wine and that's where support needs to mature.

Symptoms
As soon as it launches, the screen is solid black. An intro sound plays, but the game doesn't do anything. The free demo version of the game worked fine, however.
Reproduction
Just launch the game. It happens every time, without fail. No user input is necessary to produce the problem, nor does any seem possible.
