When fullscreen is enabled, the game launches properly and audio works but there is nothing rendering on the screen. This is problematic since fullscreen is the default, but it is possible to turn it off by editing the game.xml configuration file. The game seems to be playable in windowed mode, but I haven't tested Multiplayer.

There's also a minor problem in windowed mode: when you move the mouse too fast to the side the cursor exits the window and no mouse input is registered for a few moments until the cursor is moved back to the window automatically. I have not tested if this issue is present on Windows.

[Whitelist] Farming Simulator 2013 (220260)

Issue transferred from https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/485.
@nic96 posted on 2018-08-25T04:13:15:

Runs flawless on my system:

  • OS: Arch Linux
  • Kernel: 4.18.4-arch1-1-ARCH
  • GPU: Intel® HD Graphics 4400
  • Driver: xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+831+ge7bfc906-1
  • Vulkan Driver: vulkan-intel 18.1.7-1
  • Proton: 3.7-4

Edit:
I tried it again and I had to edit ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/220260/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2013/game.xml and change the width and height properties to my screens resolution or set fullscreen to false for it to work. Otherwise the screen is black with only the audio apparent.

The same workaround that @nic96 has posted above for 2013, is also needed for Farming Simulator 15, so I've referenced that issue too.
