I tried the same again and now it seems to work, but you for some reason need to use PROTON_LOG=1 or the game won't start.

Oh boy necro'ing a thread.
So basically, this is a weird situation. Proton GE does not allow the game to open, Proton experimental will either make the window go invisible and soft crash, Proton 5.13-6 (reported on ProtonDB to be best chance at working) gets me to the loading screen then just spins infinitely. All non-GE trials have resulted in me having to manually close the game via steam. What I also find interesting is that Krunker does not seem to work in my browser either. Maybe the times when I got to the loading screen the servers are under load.

I've also had issues with krunker not launching at all, but I discovered that if you start steam via the terminal then launch krunker it works fine more or less... weird. Krunker will not launch if I start steam via the launcher icon on ubuntu 20.04.3

Attached is the log when krunker starts successfully when steam is started from the terminal.

And now I see I run the game with PROTON_LOG=1, then it launches successfully, otherwise it just starts and stops.

Some configuration problem perhaps??
