Hello @ziabice, you may want to take a look at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/blob/proton_3.7/PREREQS.md#fd-limit-requirements and see if it is relevant to the crashes you've seen.
You were right! I had 4096 as file descriptor limit, increasing it to the required 1048576 solved the problem, removing the need for the PROTON_NO_ESYNC option.
Played the game for 1 hour without a problem. You can close this issue as fixed.
I'll ask my distro maintainers to ship the steam client with greater FD limits. ;)

This game randomly crashes if run with esync enabled.
Setting
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%into launch options solved the problem.My specs:
