Symptoms

Game completely ignores the fact I binded the d-pad to wasd and buttons YXBA to [Tab][Q][Backspace][Enter]

Reproduction

Laucn game, try steamcontroller input. Confirm is A button, back is left trigger, movement is joystick, it seems to be mapping what it wants and ignoring the keyboard bindings I set on the steamcontroller.

Tested on windows, config for steam controller loads and works fine.

Linux with proton does not

I got the controller config to load, but only after enabling steam overlay and while on the main menu hit shit+tab, the overlay will then load the configuration for the steam controller
